RT To Win

Where to find twitter competitions to win prizes including retweeting and following:

Twitter is a wonderful social media tool used by many organisations to send messages and advertising to their followers. Those who love to enter competitions can utilise this phenomenon by entering their contests.

Retweet To Win

The companies set up these twitter competitions as a form of advertising. They let their subscribers send out their messages to their followers. So say someone has 100 friends in their timeline and they copy out the advert then a small percentage may read it and join in and continue to follow. This is free advertising for them, only costing a few seconds of their time and a prize. The benefit to the entrant is that he or she can easily enter and see how many people have entered the contest because it shows in the number of retweets. These often range from several to thousands but are most commonly hundreds, so the chances are good.

Along the way, he pairs up with fellow survivor Imogen. But she enjoys killing the living dead far too much. Will she kill Jason in her blood thirst? Or will she hinder his journey through this zombie filled dystopian landscape to find his pregnant wife?

The Fence is the first in this series of post-apocalyptic military survival thrillers from the torturous mind of horror and science fiction novel writer C.G. Buswell.

Twitter Competition

It is also a transparent way of running a prize draw. The timeline is public so the organisers have to be seen to give out the prizes and name the winner of each twitter competition.

Follow To Win
If you do not want to use your personal account you may wish to set up a separate one for these because you will get lots of tweets, especially as most people who run these ask you to follow them as a condition of entry. Some even regularly give out twitter prizes just for following them. These are known as follow to win competitions. Do still make this account look like it is from a real person, with a photo and details of you in your profile. Companies may prefer to give prizes to real people. Don't set up lots of aliases, there is enough spam on the net. Just concentrate on your one comp account and send tweets as you normally would, reply to others and join in conversations.

You are usually contacted directly by the organisation using the connect tab, so do look out for these.

Check each day for retweet to win competitions since they can have short time scales to enter, especially as it is seen as an instant tool. Most will have the closing date written within the message.

Follow other people who do them since they will also be retweeting them. It is probably best to go direct to the competition tweet to send though to make sure your entry is shown to them.

Advantages for you is that these take just a few seconds to enter and you can literally enter hundreds each day for free on your phone, ipod, tablet, laptop, etc.

You may also wish to give your thanks for the prize. This is just polite and also gives the company the chance to show that they really do give out prizes and that their contests are genuine.

If you are feeling lucky and want to enter more then do read our holiday competitions page.
